ABOUT VIOLET
My art is both whimsical and engaging. Through the mediums of acrylic, pastels, ink, digital art, and pencil, my ideas and dreams become reality. In a world that is losing faith in imagination and the human spark, where AI is the answer to lack of insight, I feel it my calling to create beautiful paintings to go against the mundane and encourage that flame to grow. As a trained artist, BFA in Illustration from Pratt Institute, I find myself pulled back into the creativity of my younger days. I am a member of several local artists groups (Mamaroneck Artists Guild, Rye Art Center, and Arts Westchester) not only to exhibit my art but to gain inspiration from the work of others. I follow my Muse and pull from various images, using different mediums and techniques to make my vision real. I am inspired by many of the great artists of the past. I have learned from them all. The truth is that I love bringing a bit of light to others, and art is my way of doing so. I hope you will find a bit of light to share here, as art lives only in the collaboration between the hand of its maker and the eye of its viewer. Perhaps today is the day when we share our light.
